A slice of New York’s Upper West Side will take shape at Brisbane’s West End later this year when Calla Residences start construction.
Due for completion in September 2020, the project will feature 11 architecturally designed terrace homes, three luxury apartments and one spacious penthouse in a development described as ‘breaking the mould of traditional inner city living’.
Designed by JHA Architecture and Gatehouse Architects in a joint project with Skyline Builders and BQT Projects, the development will include luxury additions and large interiors in a bid to offer a ‘true house alternative in an inner city location’.
“We took inspiration from the Upper WEst Side of New York City, where the beautiful terrace homes have become timeless property pieces of personal value” JHA and Skyline Builders director Jeffrey Huang said.
“Calla is about creating a truly desirable product for the long-term – something that will resonate with locals and last the test of time.”
Bold Residential is marketing the property and director Bryce O’Connor said the development’s location, size and design would meet an emerging need in the Brisbane market. “There’s a gap in the market for high-quality, luxury product which is spacious sizeable and in a great inner-city location.”
Details of the opulent penthouse are yet to be publicly revealed, but Mr O’Connor said it was set to be “amazing”.
The terrace houses have a price tag starting at $1.67 million, the apartments are priced from $1.18 million, while the penthouse is set to hit the market at $1.99 million.
